Registration for Tutorial Workshops is FREE (with conference registration)!


  1. Important points (please read before you proceed to registration):
    • All participants must register through the IFAC Papercept system (regardless of whether they pay via Credit Card or through Bank Transfer).
    • Link to Conference registration website is here.
    • Participants who wish to attend Tutorial Workshops are required to register through the Papercept system. Conference registration does not include the tutorials (see information below in items 4 and 5).
    • Payment of registration fee (for both conference and tutorials) can be done either through Papercept or by Wire Transfer (National Electronic Funds Transfer or NEFT). Papercept allows payment only in USD.
    • Participants can also pay the registration fee in INR. They should do so via wire transfer / NEFT using the bank details given below. Please start this process early since until your payment is received and verified you will not be able to upload your papers.
    • The conference registration fee is subject to a refund policy (see information at the bottom of this page).
    • Tutorial workshop will be conducted only if at least 10 participants register for that workshop.
  2. Procedure for registration
    • Look up the conference and tutorial fees given in item 4 and find the one that applies to you.
    • Logon to the Papercept site and follow the steps for registration.
    • At the payment stage, choose either the “Credit Card” or “Wire Transfer” option. If you choose “Credit Card” provide the necessary details and proceed accordingly. Alternatively, if you intend to choose the “Wire Transfer” option, make sure you first transfer the appropriate fee first. Subsequently, provide the Transaction Reference number (e.g. ITG1383393) and other relevant details to proceed further.
    • If you have chosen the “Wire Transfer” option, please allow at least 1 working day for verification of transaction and the link for final submission to be activated. The Papercept system has no automated way of determining the success of your wire transfer function and therefore a manual verification is required.
  3. Paying through Electronic Funds Transfer (the “Wire Transfer” option).
    • Choose the appropriate amount as per the information below.

    • Note down the transaction reference number given by your bank. Furnish this information in the Registration step.
  4. Registration Fee (full papers, posters & extended abstracts) – all rates inclusive of 18% GST

  5. Registration Benefits and Information
    • Conference registration includes full conference kit, lunches on all days, banquet, visit to the cultural museum and IITM research park tour.
    • Conference registration also includes free tutorial participationcomplimentary free membership of Automatic Control and Dynamic optimization Society (ACDOS) (which is a national member of IFAC), for four years, i.e. until the end of 2023. Although the membership to ACDOS will be offered free to all conference registrants, interested candidates are still required to formally apply for the membership, details of which can be found in http://www.acdos.org. and will also be made available at the registration desk during the conference.
    • Tutorial registration allows full participation in only one Tutorial workshop.
  6. Additional information

    Each professional registrant is entitled to uploading a maximum of three papers, and each student registrant is entitled to upload one paper after the papers get accepted. Each additional paper will attract 3000 INR or 50 USD. Accepted papers are limited to 6 pages in the conference proceedings at no extra charge. For papers exceeding this limit, every additional page attracts 2000 INR or 35 USD.
    Banquet tickets for extra persons (other than spouse) will be available at the conference desk. Each ticket costs 1500 INR or 25 USD (GST inclusive).
  7. Refund policy
    • Registration fee can be refunded partly depending on the date at which the refund request is being sought. Please note that however, the GST part (18%) is non-refundable.
    • The before-tax portion is refundable as per the following schedule and policy:
      • On or before December 31, 2019: 90% of the before-tax fee
      • January 01, 2020 through January 15, 2020: 75% of the before-tax fee
      • January 16, 2020 through January 30, 2020: 50% of the before-tax fee
      • February 01, 2020 through February 10, 2020: 25% of the before-tax fee
      • February 11, 2020 onwards and no show: No refund
    • Pre-conference tutorial fee is refundable only if the tutorial is cancelled for lack of sufficient registration numbers (< 10) or due to other factors beyond human control.
