TUTORIAL

The Search form can be used to search for entries of your interest. It can be searched by 4 ways.

  1. Simple Search (Search by keywords)
  2. User can search for any related term in the search box and obtain the result. Below shows results for the search query "lectin".

Users can also search using multiple keywords by comma-separated values. E.g. "adeno, langerin".
Note : A space after the comma is mandatory while using multiple keywords and a maximum of five keywords are acceptable.

  3. Entry ID Search
  4. User can search for entry ids available. Below image shows the result page of search for the Entry ID "1341".

  5. Advanced Search
  6. There are two sections: a Build Search Query table (to specify a search query) and a Display Columns table (to choose columns to display). All fields are optional. However, leaving all fields default will not provide any result. Please provide a query in at least one field in the search form. Multiple queries will be processed using OR logic (for example, if the user specifies a PDB ID "3URM" and Sugar "cyclodextrin" in the From field, then the search will retrieve entries for which one of the conditions are true). Conditional operator is given for the search query, users can search using "and" or "or", default search operator is "and". The Reset button will refresh the search form to display default options where as Select All will select all the options.

User can also experience the suggesstions for your search query in search boxes of protein, source organism, sugar and authors. Below example shows the sugesstions in protein search box for the search query "galectin".

Below images shows the example result page of the advanced search.
